Vibration System Inspection

  • Park compactor on level ground with engine off
  • Inspect vibration motor mounting bolts for tightness
  • Check eccentric weight covers for security and damage
  • Examine flexible couplings for wear or damage
  • Inspect isolation mount condition and security
  • Check vibration bearings for excessive play
  • Look for signs of oil leakage from the vibration housing
  • Verify no unusual metal debris around vibration components
  • Start machine and test vibration at low speed
  • Listen for unusual noises during vibration operation

Compaction Drum/Wheel Inspection

  • Park on level ground with engine off and properly secured
